The product SUIVAC EDT is an inactivated vaccine against edema disease of pigs.

Qualitative and quantitative composition:
Each one ml of the product contains:
Active ingredients:
verotoxinum inactivatum NLT in the titer of 150 000;
Inactive ingredients:
thiomersalum NMT 0.1 mg;
formaldehydum solutum NMT 3.0 mg;
emulsio olei NLT 1.0 ml.
Animal species to be treated with the product:
Piglets aged 10 to 14 days
Dosage:
1.0 ml
Overdosage:
After administration of a doubled dose, no change in the general state of health is recorded, however somnolence with a general reaction may be reported.
Route of administration:
The vaccine is designed for subcutaneous administration into the pre-knee fold.
Indications:
The vaccine is designed for vaccination against edema disease of pigs.
Contraindications:
The vaccination must be avoided in clinically ill piglets.
Adverse drug reactions:
In vaccinated piglets, symptoms of somnolence, and/or the reduction of motility, may occur which, however subside spontaneously within 6 hours at the latest. A tiny granuloma may appear in the site of administration.
Interactions:
No interactions are known.
Pregnancy and lactation:
The vaccine is designed for piglets only.
Withdrawal periods:
None. The product is designed for piglets intended for further breeding.
How is it supplied?
Type of package:
Glass or plastic medicinal bottles closed with a rubber stopper and an aluminum torque collar,
provided with a label and placed in a carton box along with a package information leafl et.
Size of package:
1 x 100 doses;
Shelf-life:
The product must be completely used until expiration of the shelf-life indicated on the label of each medicinal bottle, i.e. within 12 months from the date of manufacture. The product must not be used after expiration of the shelf-life.
Storage:
In a dry and dark place, at temperatures between 2 and 8 °C, avoid freezing of the vaccine.
Special precautions Before vaccination, it is necessary to carry out a test for tolerance using a smaller group of piglets. Shake the vaccine well before use.
