RapiGEN CPV Ag Test

Canine Parvovirus (CPV) is a HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS virus that attacks the inner layers of the intestine of dog, causing loss of appetite, fever, vomiting, occasionally bloody diarrhea and rapid dehydration. The severe clinical symptom is a deadly threat to life of dog and puppy. The structure of CPV has a small nonenveloped single-stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) virus that is resistant to inactivation and remains infectious in the environment for 5–7 months. It is very important to clean and sterile room and isolate the infected dog for blocking spread of virus. The variants of CPV have been identified CPV2, CPV2a, CPV2b and CPV2c until nowadays. The viruses cause also panleukopenia to feline and the two diseases are almost identical.
