PRRS IgG ELISA

Description:
  • Microtitre wells in pairs are coated with mixture of highly purified inactive antigens of the PRRS virus (strain CAMP V-502 and VD-A1) and control antigen.
  • The kit contains 96 tests, including controls.
  • The whole kit may be used at one time, or sequentially for smaller batches of samples.
  • Assay sensitivity and specificity is comparable with the leading commercial products on the world market.
  • Total assay time: approximately 2.5 h.
  • Tested at the Veterinary Research Institute, Brno, Czech Republic and the State Veterinary Institutes of the Czech Republic.
  • Approved by the Institute for State Control of Veterinary Biologicals and Medicaments, Czech Republic.
  • Expiry period: 12 months.

Applications:
  • Screening of PRRS occurrence in swine herds.
  • Control of current sanitation process in swine herds.
  • Ongoing screening in herds after sanitation.
  • Control of transported animals.
  • Control of quarantined animals (export, import).

Brief assay procedure:
  1. Dilute samples and controls (1+39).
  2. Pipette diluted sera and controls into the wells.
  3. Incubate for 60 min at 37 °C.
  4. Aspirate and wash the wells 3 times.
  5. Add Conjugate.
  6. Incubate for 60 min at 37 °C.
  7. Aspirate and wash the wells 3 times.
  8. Add substrate (TMB-Complete).
  9. Incubate for 10 min at room temperature.
  10. Add Stopping solution (H2SO4).
  11. Read the absorbance photometrically at 450 nm.
  12. Evaluate results.
