Effect method:
The antigen of parvovirosis contained in the vaccine is recognised as foreign after being applied on the body of the vaccinated individual. A whole range of defence mechanisms of the organism is activated (macrophages, opsonins, interleukins, B-lymphocytes, etc.). As a result of this there are created specific antibodies against antigen determinants contained in the vaccine. These specific antibodies are to prevent a farther development of infection caused if the animal is infected with parvovirus.
After the vaccine is applied, specific antibodies are developed to protect the embryos and foetuses of sows against parvovirosis during the whole gestation period. Applied to boars the high titres of antibodies prevent replication of parvovirus in the sex organs and diminish the risk of contagion while concede.
Indication:
For prevention vaccination of gilt and boars against porcine parvovirosis.
Contraindication:
Clinically sick pigs or pigs suspected from being sick.
Interaction:
Interactions with other medicaments are not known. It is allowed to be combined with anaesthetised antigen of purple (Erysipelotrix rhusiopathiae suis).

Primo-vaccination - one vaccination dose 2-4 weeks before the act of impregnation. Other regular vaccination always using one vaccination dose 2-4 weeks before the act of impregnation.
Boars:
Primo-vaccination - one vaccination dose at least 2 weeks before the act of concede. To keep the immunity level, revaccinations are necessary using always one vaccination dose applied within the period of 6 months.
Undesirable effects:
After the vaccine PARVOSIN-OL inj. ad us. vet. is applied, there might develop corresponding local reactions that will disappear spontaneously during the period of 2 to 3 weeks.

Precautions:
Shake the content of a container well before use. Keep in dark and dry place, at a temperature of 2 to 8°C. The vaccine must not get frozen!
Storage:
PARVOSIN-OL inj. ad us. vet. is a member of the group of viral inactivated vaccines that do not cause undesirable effects under normal circumstances. In case of anaphylactic reaction a symptomatic treatment is recommended. It is not recommended to slaughter pigs for consummations purposes within 10 days after being vaccinated because a local reaction may appear.
Prior application it is necessary to let the vaccine warm up to the temperature of 15 to 25°C and the contents of the vial is to be shaken up.
