We are proud of what we have accomplished here at Broadchem Corporation over the last 20 years and hope to show you about us quickly through our website.

We have established Broadchem Corporation in 1989 as a product development company for new and emerging products such as disinfectants, biological and other swine veterinary products.   Broadchem Corporation is now a dynamic and fast-growing company which has become a major player in the Philippine’s animal industry representing exclusively world-class principal companies from Europe, USA and Asia.

HISTORY

The farm, a 750 SL level farrow to finish operation, is performing normally. However it is PRRS sero positive but is in stable condition. The farm is mass vaccinating the breeders with a killed European serotype vaccine. However due to the fear of PRRS outbreak raging in Luzon, they decided to vaccinate with a live vaccine. Vaccination started of the last week of October 2007.

Then on Dec. 21, 2007, a sudden outbreak of red ear disease hit the nursery of the farm. Mortality shoots up in 2 months old piglets.

The pigs are not responding to medication. Hog cholera vaccination did not control the situation.

They did necropsy and serology tests to find the culprit. They tested the feeds and water for contamination. Tissue sample was taken to a neighboring country for PCR test.

Then on February 2008, we started vaccinating the herd with a killed Polyvalent PRRS vaccine.
